Elite Contract Furniture
Elite was founded by Fred Weiss, also known as Fred-The-Bed, an immigrant who arrived in Glasgow alone, at the young age of 18 years old. Working in numerous bedding factories he learned the tricks of the trade before setting up on his own.
70 years later, and thanks to Fred's tenacious attitude, hard work and determination, Elite remains a successful family-run business. We love what we do and our core values, care for our customers and legacy are at the heart of how Elite runs to this day.

Since our re-launch in Nov 2018 we have focused on delivering programmes within Renfrewshire which fulfil our key objectives, answer the need of our communities and are aligned with the spirit of St Mirren FC’s own ‘Our Town Our Team’ ethos, putting our people first.
Our work supports people of all ages, capabilities and backgrounds as we are entirely inclusive and fully aware, post pandemic, of the need now more than ever to help empower our people and rebuild more resilient and resourceful communities.
